This past week was very eventful. One of the most exciting and nerve-wrecking events was my first interview with a real neuropsychologist. Although I was very nervous at first, the interview was very informational and I learned a lot. I learned a lot of things that I wouldn't have learned from a research article such as how important empathy is in being a neuropsychologist and how a board certification is almost a must in the field of neuropsycholgy. I got even more interview practice this week through the business symposium. The business symposium was very fun because it allowed me to interact with other ISM students and it let me network with professionals in all sorts of fields. I also got practice getting interviewed, which taught me on how to answer questions to make you look good in front of the interviewee. For example, when asked about your weakness, you are supposed to explain a weakness that the interviewee can also consider as a strength. Both of these huge events helped me further understand neuropsychology and learn skills necessary in the professional world. This week I also got myself another interview, where I hope I can further gain knowledge in the field of neuropsychology. Next week, I hope to further gain knowledge of the professional world and contact more professional to set more interviews.
