My First Steps In ISM

I learned several things throughout this week in ISM. I experienced many firsts, but the most interesting thing was making my own website. In fact, I've always been intrigued about how people made their own websites. There were so many options and templates to choose from. Being the indecisive person I am, it took me hours to ultimately decide my website's template and the aesthetic I was going for. As expected making a website was hard because it required me think of things I never thought of, such as what font I wanted and what the perfect background would be for my website. Although it was hard, I really enjoyed making my own website that I can actually visit online. I also learned how to a have professional presence online and created an About.me page and LinkedIn account to help connect with professionals. Other than learning about how to keep a professional presence online, I also learned several other things that are necessary to know in the professional world, such as how to dress professionally and how to do the perfect handshake. I also did lots of research on Neuropsychology in my Research Assessments 1 and 2. I learned the basics of what Neuropsychologist does. I researched everything from what the salary of a Neuropsychologist is to how many years of schooling it required. Next week my goal is to explore and learn even more about what becoming a Neuropsychologist entails.
